Tonight, we are meeting here to celebrate this special, peaceful, silent and holly night. here and now, allow me，on behalf of all the members of the school committee, to express my hearty regards and seasonal greetings to all of you. merry christmas and happy new year!
And i am very glad to tell you that we have two distinguished guests from england to join us tonight to celebrate this special christmas eve with us together. this is because christmas eve has the same meaning of safe and peace with ping an in chinese. just as the chinese saying goes, “safe and peace is fortune and luck”. so i’d like to extend my best wishes of fortune and luck to everyone here and those you love as well as those who are now still working in their posts.
Christmas is a time to give thanks, so let’s give our hearty thanks to our parents, our teachers, those around us as well as our great motherland with our sincerity, loyalty, intelligence and diligence.
My dear boys and girls, the mid-term examination is over, and all the students in our school did very well this time. since the examination, many students are working harder than ever before, and they are becoming more active in class. especially through english corner, they’re getting to understand the importance of learning english. meanwhile, i hope every student in our school will take an active part in learning english and using english, and enjoy english.
Here and now, i’d like to say thank you very much to those who have tried their best to have organized the christmas eve.
This special christmas eve will certainly bring us pleasure and enjoyment, laughter and passion, ass well as applause.
To conclude my speech, i wish everyone here will enjoy the performances and have a very good time tonight. and i sincerely wish a merry christmas and happy new year to you again.

Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping opti
mistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, "An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity."
Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.
A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: "If winter comes, can spring be far behind?" Thank you!

Everyone has his own understanding of young. In xxx,youth is the time of life when one is young, but often means the time between childhood and adulthood (maturity). It is also defined as "the appearance, freshness, vigor, spirit, etc., characteristic of one who is young". Its definitions of a specific age range varies, as youth is not defined chronologically as a stage that can be tied to specific age ranges; nor can its end point be linked to specific activities, such as taking unpaid work or having sexual relations without consent.
In my opinion, Youth is not only a certain time of your life; also it is the shape of your mind. It is not only bright eyes, sweet smiles, nice voices, supple bodies, but also it is the way that you think and act.
Youth is a lively topic, youth is a mature turning.
Youth is like a gust of wind blowing, leaving only the dusty back.
We have been or are embrace the youth, we will lose our youth.
Some people say that youth is a scrap of paper, of no use. Every attempt nothing and accomplish nothing, only know to eat, drink, play, music, do not know how to study hard, do not know how parents bitterness, do not understand the meaning of life.Also some people, although they are unknown to the public, but they cherish their youth, cherish their own every second.
As a new era of college students, should cherish the youth, to seize every minute to learn. We must hold to our youth, do not waste one's life. On the road of growing up, do every thing, each reading a good book, learn every bit of knowledge. We should not idle about all day, abandoned their studies. We want to make sure that the goal of life for themselves, to pursue the ideal of life. This is the youth: full power, full of expectations, voluntary, full of knowledge and the struggle of ambition.
Youth is a song, sing the life the most memorable fragment; youth is a painting, draw the outline of the most wonderful scene; youth is a poem, to praise the most beautiful moment in life; youth is the only way which must be passed to each of us in our life, it plays a significant role.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, today, I would like to introduce my beloved hometown—Inner Mongolia to all of you. It has been 57 years since the birth of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on May 1st, 1947. Dominated by the Mongolian nationality, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located on the northern frontier of China. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region occupies an area of 1.18 million square kilometers and has a population of about 20 million people who represent a score of different nationalities. Every time when people talk about Inner Mongolia, they’ll cne down to the vast grassland. Yes, the Inner Mongolian prairie area makes up a quarter of the total grassland area of the country. On the boundless expanse of the Inner Mongolian prairie are living numerous sheep, Cattle and horses, on which our Mongolian have lived for generations. That is why the grassland is eulogized as “cradle of life”. There are two vast grasslands in my hometown—Hulun Buir Grasslands and Xilin Gol Grasslands which are both world-famous regions. People in Inner Mongolia are famous for their bravery, enthusiasm and hospitality. No mater where you are from, as long as you cne to a herdsman’s house, you will be warmly entertained with roasted whole lamb and milk tea, and what’s more, you can also appreciate beautiful Mongolian songs and elegant dances. It is not exaggerating to say Mongolians are born singers and dancers. The moment you set your feet on the grassland areas you will discover it is indeed a real land of songs and dances.
Today’s Inner Mongolia still maintains her ethnic characteristics and at the dame time, she tries to keep pace with the development of the modern world. Ordus is a worldwide well-known brand, Yili and Mengniu are both the famous dairy industries, which have greatly improved the living standard of our Mongolian people. And I’m sure, our Mongolian people will make great effort to contribute to our hometown. As a college student, I know quite clearly that my mission is to master solid knowledge and one day do good to my beloved hometown.
