I am a local person.I am graduating from Jilin Normal University this June. I major in Chinese literature. I hope I could get the opportunity to finish my postgraduate courses in Jilin University which I have desired for a long time. I have the confidence because I have such ability! I am a girl who is fervent， outgoing and creative. At the same time， I think I am quick in mind and careful in everything. I am looking forward to my postgraduate studies and life. Reasons for taking postgraduate exams：

First of all， I love my major. Chinese literature is the symbol of the start of Chinese literary modernization. It plays an important part in modernization of our citizens‘ thoughts. What’s more， modern literature is very close to our daily life and it can deeply reflect the styles and features of our society. I am fascinated by the great masters‘ refreshing or warm or profound styles as well. But I am not easily satisfied with such superficial knowledge. I hope I could have a better understanding in modern literature by studying further. This is a very important reason for me to take the postgraduate exams.

Next， I love the feeling in the university. It is full of youthful spirit. And I am deeply attracted by the scholarly atmosphere. And the most important， it‘s my great honor to open my ears to your teaching.

Finally， I want to talk about a very practical problem. That is my dream of becoming a teacher in the university. I want to realize my dream and make myself to be a well-qualified person. I think the postgraduate studies can enrich my knowledge and make me competent in my future job.

First of all, I’d like to introduce myself to you.My name is Zhang Zhou, 21 years old, born in Hubei province.Three years ago, I graduated from my senior high school and then attached myself to the Huazhong University of Science and Technology.My major is the Material Forming and Control Engineering, that is to say, I’m studying on the methods of proceing materials including casting ,forging and welding.It was my parents who give me power and support all the time.I hope that I get good grades in return for their love and care.

During four years’ study, I gain a lot, not only on specialized knowledge but also scientific way of thinking.I will try my best to be a diligent person with sincerity and fortitude as my school requires.I love this school very much.It also makes me know what I really want

.I am an enterprising person.To pursue my dreams, I will keep studying hard all the time.As the saying goes,” early bird catches the worm”, I’m never lazy for anything.I believe that “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety percent of perspiration”, so I never give up and always keep positive attitude.Choosing this major for further study, which is what I’m interested, is my prudent decision.It motivates me to study intensively.If given the opportunity to study in topping university, I think I will make best use of it to study.

In my spare time, I often do sports to build up my body, go to library to extend knowledge and surf the internet, to flourish my understanding on science.But the knowledge sea is boundle, the more I learn, the more I want to learn.I decide to choose this major for further study for following three reasons.Firstly, I love my major and this major will help me better to serve my country.Secondly, I am not content with what I have learned now.I long for the advanced study in this field.Thirdly, studying in Shanghai Jiaotong University is my parents’ high expectation to me, and also my dream for a long time.

I wanted to take a further study on the graduate level because I am interested in material forming and I know the profeors present today are experts in this field of studies, I hope I can improve the practical ability.I am a boy full of paion and enthusiasm, I will do anything if I can do.I know that if I became a graduate student of Material Forming，I will be little time for rest and recreation, but I am ready for it.
