It's nice to be back at Princeton. I find it difficult to believe that it's been almost 11 years since I departed these halls for Washington. I wrote recently to inquire about the status of my leave from the university, and the letter I got back began, "Regrettably, Princeton receives many more qualified applicants for faculty positions than we can accommodate."
I'll extend my best wishes to the seniors later, but first I want to congratulate the parents and families here. As a parent myself, I know that putting your kid through college these days is no walk in the park. Some years ago I had a colleague who sent three kids through Princeton even though neither he nor his wife attended this university. He and his spouse were very proud of that accomplishment, as they should have been. But my colleague also used to say that, from a financial perspective, the experience was like buying a new Cadillac every year and then driving it off a cliff. I should say that he always added that he would do it all over again in a minute. So, well done, moms, dads, and families.
This is indeed an impressive and appropriate setting for a commencement. I am sure that, from this lectern, any number of distinguished spiritual leaders have ruminated on the lessons of the Ten Commandments. I don't have that kind of confidence, and, anyway, coveting your neighbor's ox or donkey is not the problem it used to be, so I thought I would use my few minutes today to make Ten Suggestions, or maybe just Ten Observations, about the world and your lives after Princeton. Please note, these points have nothing whatsoever to do with interest rates. My qualification for making such suggestions, or observations, besides having kindly been invited to speak today by President Tilghman, is the same as the reason that your obnoxious brother or sister got to go to bed later--I am older than you. All of what follows has been road-tested in real-life situations, but past performance is no guarantee of future results.

Hello everyone, I am Nancy, I am six years old. I am in grade one of the forth railway primary school.
I have a lot of hobbies, i like writing, singing and drawing. I like outdoor sports activities very much. Every weekend,my mom takes me out to do some sports,sometimes we climb mountains,sometimes we ride the skateboard,and sometimes we go skating.
PE is one of my favorite subject, but the PE class in my school always upset me,that is because our school is rebuilding now so we have to have the PE class in a kindergarten nearby.
It is a small yard,so every class we have to run twenty circles, it makes me so dizzy! Luckily, our new school will be ready very soon.
I can learn in my new school in this September ,at that time we will have a big and beautiful playground ,and i'm so happy that our PE class will be more interesting . Also i hope we can have the sportmeeting this fall! Tell you a secret I have never attend a sportmeeting and I'm so looking forward of it!

It is clear that we have only one earth, but now the environment is becoming worse and worse.You will see the black smoke is rising when you up your head, and the polluted water and ma of rubbish will flooded into your eyes while you lower.Forests have been cut down without restraint, so the green is becoming le and le.The river and the ocean is being polluted severely, so many fishes and other species are endangered.We people breath the smelly air into our lungs, drink the dirty water into our stomach, eat the polluted food into our body, so more and more people feel sick today somehow or other, I feel really sorrow for those.
As the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we can earn it by contributing.But in fact, we do not, we only ask for nature greedily, we do lots of damages to her, exceive exploitation of resource, great waste, severe pollution and so on.The earth can’t bear us anymore.Sooner or later, people should pay for what they did.Although there are some natural disasters in recent years, I think it’s only the natural warning to us, if we do not hold up immediately; we would suffer much more pains.Though I don’t agree with the idea that the end of the world will come in this month, I think that day will come some day later, maybe ten years later, twenty years later or one hundred years later or more.So, please be kind to our earth, maybe we can delay that day.
As we school students, we can do lots of things to protect the environment.Turn off the light electrical equipments while you don’t use them, recycle paper、plastic and bottles, stop throwing rubbish everywhere, stop walking on gra, start helping plant more trees and gra and so on.Be kind to the river and be good to the trees, smile at the sunshine and bow to the breeze, be friendly to nature and the nature will be nice to us.
